Join us for a fascinating evening with Roger Lusby as he shares his extraordinary experience of wintering over at Scott Base, Antarctica in 1969/70.
Fifty-five years ago Roger Lusby wintered over as a mechanic at Scott Base Antarctica. Over the last three years he has created a personal audio-visual show that includes pictures, stories, songs, poems and humour to share his experience.
Through a rich mix of images, stories, songs, poetry and humour, Roger brings to life what it was really like to spend a year in one of the most remote and extreme environments on Earth. From moments of quiet beauty to the challenges of isolation and harsh conditions, this is a deeply personal and captivating account.
